M. L. has 18 years experience in public finance, four
of which were in the bond department of nationally recognized
bond counsel firms, namely Orrick, Harrington & Sutcliffe
(San Francisco) and Koutak Rock & Campbell (Omaha).
In addition M.L. is a former senior bond attorney and
contract partner with the law firm of Adorno & Zeder.
M.L. is a former law clerk to the Honorable Damon J.
Keith, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Judicial
Circuit and has been engaged in the private practice
of law since 1981.
M.L. graduated from Alabama State University summa
cum laude. She earned a Juris Doctorate (cum laude )
from Howard University School of Law. She is a former
Executive Director of the District of Columbia Housing
Finance Agency.
During her tenure, the D.C. Housing Finance Agency
issued a record $300 MILLION DOLLARS investment grade
tax - exempt securities and was featured in the Municipal
Bond Buyer's Weekly in acknowledgment of the Agency's
pioneering of a new credit enhancement facility. She
is a former Executive Director of the District of Columbia
Housing Finance Agency.
